'ToDo Reminder' freeware update - 1.2.0.6
'ToDo Reminder' freeware has had a few more updates being up to version 1.2.0.6.

When 'Window On Top' was set, all dialogs would 'hide' behind the main window - oddly, as it used to work previously.. Also, all mentions of the old (original) name have been changed to 'ToDo Reminder', as it should have been a long time ago. And a few minor changes to improve the code were done too.

You can get it now from the Freeware page, as always.

'Wv player' free multimedia player update - 1.2.3.0
story image Freeware multimedia player, 'Wav player', has been updated up to version 1.2.3.0.

WV player can now create multiple play lists, according to user's wish and preferences, allowing you to have a play list for each type of music, singer, style,... just to give a few examples!

MP3 tag editor is also improved, with better edition of ID3 TAGS, and addition of 45 new genre tags to ID3 genre, among other things.

Video playing window allows for proper resizing and saving of individual frames to disk at will. And a few more minor improvements and cosmetic changes.

The help file has been updated too and now allows for 'context help', showing the correct help page related to the window/dialog open at each moment.

This MM player is another of my freeware that I use - and love - every day. It has all the options and features I need, and then some! Plays any type of sound and video file available to Windows™ operating system. smile

As always, all new versions of this and every other freeware can be freely downloaded from the freeware webpage, where all my freeware is located.

'ToDo Reminder' freeware update - 1.2.0.2
story image 'ToDo Reminder' freeware has had a few more updates and is now at version 1.2.0.2.

This one already had a lot of changes and improvements done to it previously, turning it into a *real* full options software, but was never released for public use as version 1.2.0.0. unfortunately. Now I made a few more cosmetic touches, updated it to v3 of 'controls' and.. that's about it. smile

I use this software every single day myself, as it really is unobtrusive, being small and quite fast, and does reminds me of everything I have to do in an easy and simple way!

In case someone is worried, it also has been tested for virus by using five different antivirus and the Antivirus Report can be found here: ToDo Reminder antivirus report

As always, all freeware can be downloaded from here. Keep sending your suggestions, ideas and... *knocks on wood* bugs! wink

story image On the last couple months I've been receiving some emails from long, long time users of some of my little freeware utilities...

'File Renamer' freeware update - 1.2.5.4
story image It has been a while since dedicating myself to my dear freeware utilities but, like Terminator movie, I know.. "I'll be baaack" wink Well, I've been receiving some emails from long time - read 12+ year users, and that alone was so heart warming that I had to try to program again, in spite of all the difficulties..

So 'File renamer' freeware has been updated to version 1.2.5.4 now.

First it has been brought up to date to Windows.Common-Controls v3 newer versions, meaning it'll work better with newer Windows version 'Open' file dialogs - hopefuly..

There was a long time bug that got solved at last: whenever drag'n'drop was being used to drag a folder's name to Renamer, that "All Files" button should load *all* files inside that folder, recursively, folder after sub-folder.. It didn't, now it does!

It has also received some interface touches and improvements - some less visible than others, and a few more less important things..

Slowly it'll get better for all of us and, hey!, thank you so much to all the long time users, because that's what makes it so worth while keeping improving this! And I really mean it, truly, from my heart!

And, as always, this and all other freeware downloads are - and will always be - available from the freeware page.

Clean awards for 'File Renamer'
And as we are at it, just a small notice with a couple of links from 3rd party sites that test and make sure our freeware is secure to install and use. Among those there is the very well known Softpedia.com and also the NewFreeDownloads.com. You can go to either of those and check the full report about this great 'File Renamer' freeware smile

The Simpsons sing the Blues
story image And to start, one that may not be the most eclectic of all performances but that I really enjoy nonetheless.. smile Those are great interpretations of great songs done by none other than... The Simpsons! Yes, those from the TV cartoon series, that's right.

The Simpsons sing the Blues is the first album released as an offshoot of The Simpsons. The album contained originally recorded music that were first launched as singles and were a huge success all over! The full album was released in September 1990 and, of course, was instant success also, getting at least 2 platinum in the USA and Gold in the UK! smile

There were a number of notable musicians who appeared on the album, including the great B. B. King, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Dr. John and Marcy Levy.

If you have the opportunity, do hear the recordings as it really is worthwhile to.

The list of tracks in the album: (and a few movies from it down bellow)

  • - Do the Bartman
  • - School Days
  • - Born Under a Bad Sign
  • - Moanin' Lisa Blues
  • - Deep, Deep Trouble
  • - God Bless the Child
  • - I Love to See You Smile
  • - Springfield Soul Stew
  • - Look at All Those Idiots
  • - Sibling Rivalry

And, of course, the album's cover smile

The Simpsons sing the Blues disk cover

.. so, let's hear it from the Simpsons, folks!! (enjoy!) smile

Great, ain't it? smile

FREE software? Yes, it is!
A few people wrote back asking if all my freeware was really FREE... wassat (??)

Well, it is! Why do people find it so strange for me to be giving away my own software? I know I have had a few suggestions from users saying that I should turn at least some of it to commercial software, as 'they are so good' - their words, not mine wink - but everything on the freeware has always been free and I won't change it.

At least, as long as I am able to support the expenses of maintaining it, as downloads are now well above 200 Mb per day !!

Anyway, just download everything to your hearts content and keep sending me feedback on the programs as, more than donations - although those also help a lot - your suggestions and opinions are what helps me keep motivated to further develop those utility programs making them better to everyone.
